All the girl’s colleges are round the year besieged by the road-side Romeos. They can also be found in crowded markets and also on lonely roads. They are generally on the lookout for reasons to enter a women’s college or an all-girls school. They use different methods to distribute love notes through the textbooks of the girls. These self-styled lovers follow girls while they come to the college/school or on their way home. They often sing the latest Hindi film songs. There have been instances when they have psychologically harassed a girl and made her life a misery, They follow her everywhere. They interfere with her relationships with her friends. And they constantly ring her up either to threaten her or to mouth vulgar messages. They sometimes even dare to physically molest her in order to satisfy their sick impulses. No amount of Police presence or other forms of deterrents seem to distract them away from committing such acts. The latest films are their teaching grounds. Films give them a false identity. They start believing that like the heroes in the film they can also win their lady love by singing songs and behaving in an obnoxious manner. Unfortunately, they only end up being a public nuisance.
