How To Open a Savings Bank Account
In order to survive in this world today, a person has to, first of all, learn to make a living and then learn to save Gone are the days when a person kept all his savings under the bed or inside a hole in the ground, Today people keep their precious savings in a bank account. A bank account can be opened by following the following procedure. First of all, a person has to go to the bank during its working hours, i.e. between 10 am and 2 p.m. He has to approach the manager of the bank to give an application stating his desire to open a bank account. The bank manager will then give him an application form. That he has to fill and duly affix his photograph. He has to give specimen signatures on the filled application form. The manager will then give him a card. On this card he will again have to give at least three specimen signatures, he will also have to affix a photograph on this card. He will then have to deposit the minimum amount which is required to open the account with the cashier and obtain a receipt. He will then hand over the application, card, and receipt to the manager who will ask him to come the next day. On the next day, the manager will give him the bank passbook and the account number. Thus the account will be officially opened.
