Television means seeing something that is far. It has made the world a small place. It is a square box. Which contains a glass screen front and a conical projection at the rear. Beneath the screen at the bottom is the on and off switch. Besides it is the color, contrast, channel, and volume control switches. Sometimes along with them there may be tracking and fine-tuning buttons also. The body of the Television set is nowadays made of plastic. It is connected to an antenna through a chord. The antenna has two, three, or four elements or rods, depending upon the power of the signals. A Television set comes in various sizes that vary from 14 inches to 20 inches and more. After the Television set is switched on, it slowly warms up the picture tube, which is seen from outside as the flat Screen. The antenna receives the signals and sends them to the picture tube. Where the electronic signal is converted into a visual signal. This in other words is the picture which we see on the screen of the Television.

Television
Television is one of the wonders of science. It is a great source of entertainment and education. It has brought a revolution in the society. Through television, we can see anything happening in any part of the world. Television operates through satellite. It has not only brought the cinema and the stage into our homes but many children get educated through innovative and educational programmes. There are numerous channels on which we can see the programs of our choice. Nowadays, Dish TV provides very good programs which were not available in earlier days. No one can imagine a life without television as it has made mankind its slave.
