Clothes Make a Person

A debate always has two sides; while one person speaks for the topic, the other speaks against. You might wonder what a debate has to do with this essay. Well, there are always two sides to every coin! Some might say clothes make a person while others argue that one shouldn’t be fooled by outward appearances. Which side of the debate are you on?

If you met two new people, one dressed in dirty clothes with frayed edges and the other smartly turned out, who would you instinctively be drawn to? Rut that is only the first impression you might argue! I agree that clothes are not the only way to judge a person but it cannot be denied that a neat, well dressed person will look more approachable and appealing than a shabbily dressed, unkempt one.

This does not necessarily mean that to make an impression one needs to be impeccably turned out in new or expensive clothes at all times. It takes very little effort to achieve a well-groomed look; clean and ironed clothes, trimmed nails, well combed hair and polished shoes should do the trick for you!

Being well dressed makes you look neat and meticulous, traits that will also reflect in your work. I believe clothes make a person because they are a mirror of you and your personality.
